UPDATE!!!

I have realised how crucial the research is for my magazine so therefore I have decided to spend just a little more time on the research into my audience and industry before I make any big decisions on planning any of my photos. This is because I need to make sure my magazine is suited perfectly for my audience as they are very niche. I want to make sure my plans are of the standard I want them to be and in a lot of detail so that when it comes to the photo shoot I will be completely prepared. So therefore the photo plans have to be postponed until the end of this weekend. I am planning to have multiple models and multiple photo shoots so I have a variety of options to choose from and it would give me a wider opportunity to experiment with different people (of different gender, ethnicity etc.) - meaning different connotations. This would allow me to figure out what message I want to put across to my audience with my magazine. I will most likely ask for their feedback in choosing my final model so I know what they want as this magazine is designed FOR them.
During this week, I have:
-Asked people to answer my questionnaire, however, I need a bit more feedback and need to find the opportunity to ask even more people within my target audience because I need an idea of what the majority wants (as a few people would not be sufficient to represent my whole target audience).
- Created 2 new mood boards all about the fashion for soul music- new and old and I'm somehow going to fuse those two into one to create my unique magazine. I found out many interesting things about the fashion and how now soul fashion is closely linked to Hip-Hop fashion. I highlighted key words within texts that had to do with what items of clothing were in fashion and suited my genre. By doing this, it will help me in future decisions on photo planning and use of Mise-en-Scene
- I have gone into depth of the origins and communication within fans and key scenes/locations within the soul music industry

TARGETS:
-Complete ALL research by this weekend- final deadline for myself
-Ask a few more people in my target audience about their favourite artists and then post the final results.
-Start and attempt finishing, planning all the different photos with the different models
