Mood Boards

I made a Pinterest account as my first step towards using social media to get audience feedback.

This first mood board was based on all the words that I found that somehow linked or were associated with soul music. It gave me a sense of what my genre was about and I hope that it would give my target audience more information about the genre and what my magazine would be about. Also I managed to choose three words from that brainstorm as idea's for my Magazine Title.

I asked my target audience which magazine title they preferred with social networking too - texts/imessage/twitter and this was their feedback

The majority went for 'Voice'.

I think Voice is the most suitable name because soul music is all about the voice and it isn't focused on all the fancy music behind it. It's a fuse of African American gospel music, rhythm and blues so consists of many impressive vocal techniques such as riff's and runs. Many soul singers for example: Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Jennifer Hudson, are know for their voices.
